Other Projects

On this page I want to show you a selected list of other private (software-based) projects I either did in the past or am currently working on.

Open Queue

This is an extension for SwyxWare Extended Call Routing (SwyxECR) providing extended Call Queue functionality plus queue visualization and manipulation. As Open Source project it is hosted at Swyx Forum. SwyxWare is a full-featured VoIP PBX, developed by Swyx, the company I am happily working for.

VCAND - CAN/M3S Windows Driver

This is my diploma thesis I wrote back in 1995 at the Dublin Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Barry Redmond and Ralf Kories. It is an MS Windows 3.1 device driver for specialised serial communication on a CAN (Controller Area Network) Bus, used on electrical wheelchairs for handicaped people. There is a driver package with lots of example applications available as Open Source.

Open Source

I firmly believe in the ideas of Open Source and did so already in times where Open Source still was just called Public Domain. Beside the above mentioned Open Source Projects I also opened lots of other projects, tools and lecturers. They are still available for download on the Open Source Page of my old website.

UTE - Universal Table Editor

This is web-based database / table editor. As Open Source project it is hosted at CodeProject. There it won the Code Contest of the year 2000. UTE gives free access to any table in any database being reachable via ODBC/OLEDB to add, modify or delete records. I still use this tool by my own in many of my web projects.

HPShell - MS DOS based HP48/49 IDE

This is one of the many shareware programs I wrote back in the 90's during my time at university. It is an Integrated Development Environment for HP48/49 pocket calculators on a DOS PC. It is Freeware since 1996 and has been installed at least 10.000 times sine then. Since 1998 it is also Open Source.

Professional Projects

In nearly 20 years of working in computer business (as freelancer, student, developer, head of department, trainer and consultant) I did quite a lot different software related projects. A list of all these projects is available here, but not publicly, as you surely understand.
