The way you use the HPShell is to write HP48 programs on your PC and then transfer these programs to the HP48. Usually you save these programs on the harddisk of your PC. The HPShell enables you to send single files or complete file lists to the HP48 (and of course to receive files from the HP48!). This is for example the dialog to choose the files from your harddisk to be send to the HP48:
