Backup Management

The HPShell is able to manage your memory backups of the HP48. Here you´ll see how this works.

Charconversion ASCII - ISO 8859(1)

One of the most usefull features of the HPShell is it´s char conversion abillity. You won´t
have to worry about any special characters on the HP. Just write as you are used to on the PC and
the conversion will be done automatically in the background.

Create HP48 directories

For creating huge directory trees on your HP48 this feature is very usefull: just create the tree
first on your PC, include all files in each directory and the HPShell will move the entire structure
to your HP48.

Display simple text on the HP48

This is just a simple example of how the HPShell can be helpfull for displaying common text on
the HP48´s display.

Free defineable Hotkeys
 |
To make programing as fast and as comfortable as possible you can define your own hotkeys and
also connect recorded macros to these hotkeys. There are a number of examples allready defined
in the program.

Free defineable Toolbar

You may know tool- or buttonbars from other programs. The HPShell will enable you to define each
button with your favourite function.

Free defineable Transfer Protocol
 |
You can use what ever transfer protocol you want. As default the HPShell uses KERLITE.EXE,
a Shareware Kermit protocol.

HP48 like displays to format your text

Do you want to make some text output on the HP48´s display and don't want to
count the colls and rows ? Well, this is the solution for your problem.

To help you using the HPShell and understand some special functions of the program there is a complete Online Help
included in the program.

Own Tool Programs

You can call your favourite tool programs from inside the HPShell. You don't need to quit it just
for calling e.g. your GROB editor.

This is a view on the "Send File(s) dialog. This is for sure on the dialogs you´ll see most
when you´re working with the HPShell.

Set the correct parameters on your HP48

You don´t need to worry about setting up the HP48 correctly for a propper transmission. The
HPShell will tell you everthing you´ll need.

Syntaxhighlighting

Beside char conversion this is the second most powerfull feature of the HPShell. Highlighted keywords or
comments make the daily job of programing far more comfortable and prevent you from making mistakes.
